Had a drive out to Darlington today I’m not sure if Darlington is the end of the earth but if it’s not it can’t be much further away from Brum or at least that’s how it felt to me earlier! Owner Stuart was happy to see me & not for my wit either…. He’s not driven his RX7 for well over a year after suffering a couple rotary failures he decided it was time for a V8 and ordered himself a LS2 pullout & fitting kit from the states, unfortunately the garage he enlisted to do his conversion haven’t been able to get stuck into the project due to the owner suffering ill health, so a call was made to DynoTorque & were taking on the project.
Here’s what I found in the car….
And this was unloaded from my van
I made a start on the wiring after clearing out the car, after sorting the engine loom I moved into the car where I found a few potentially nasty suprises, the battery had been relocated to the boot no grommet had been fitted where it went through the cars floor & no fuse at all
And to make matters worse look what I found at the ignition switch….
Ready to run
All finished & painted by Ted
Just need some wheels to fill the arches now Stu …….
